Don't rely on Changi Airport's online schedule

A small bit of advice to anyone who relies on the Changi Airport's online Arrival/Departure schedule. Don't!

Surya was arriving from a short visit to Kerala on a flight that reaches here at 06:25. So I woke up at 05:30 and checked up the status online. To my shock, I found the status as "Confirmed: 05:44". I muttered a curse, jumped into the shower with the toothbrush and was in a cab by 05:40. This was bad! I reached the airport bty 05:55 and there the f***ing TV display informed me that the flight was actually late and was arriving only at 07:00. I cursed for the second time today.

What is interesting is that the flight was already about an hour delayed even before take off. There was no way at 05:30 that the flight could have reached at 05:44. Who the heck then updated the online status? What would have happened if I was supposed to catch a flight and the online status stated that the flight was late, I had believed it, only to realize that it was actually on time!?
