I am having a very hectic couple of days. Hence the blog will be neglected, hopefully not for more than a day more. Till then, explore these great, must-have tools. I make it a point to install almost all of them in machines I control.
- Ad-aware - "comprehensively scan your memory, registry, hard, removable and optical drives for known datamining, aggressive advertising, and tracking components"
- Privoxy - "web proxy with advanced filtering capabilities for protecting privacy, filtering web page content, managing cookies, controlling access, and removing ads, banners, pop-ups and other obnoxious Internet junk"
- MP3Tag - one of the best tool around to edit ID3-tags and OGG Comments of MP3- and Ogg Vorbis files.
- CDex - one of the best MP3 rippers around
- Kerio Personal Firewall - nice, simple and powerful for individual users
- Tortoise CVS - neat and simple CVS client for Windows platform
- Foobar2000 - greatest PC based MP3 player for people who hates eye candies
- PBase.com - one of the best online gallery providers. I host my albums there and hangout of lot in the forums there
