Check this out and help if you guys can - WikiTravel. The use of Wiki for travel guide information gathering is inspired. It uses a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 1.0 license. More details at Kuro5hin.org posting "Wikitravel: Bazaar-style Travel Guide Development".
(The) goal is to create a free (as in freedom), complete, up-to-date and reliable world-wide travel guide. The project was inspired by the success of Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, but also by our total frustration with inaccurate and incomplete commercial travel guides.
