If only he could sign his comments...
[Technology] @ 06:39 PM

Jeffrey Zeldman laments:

Someone posted a comment on Joshua Kaufman's unraveled blog, signed it "zeldman," and included my URL. As far as anyone reading unraveled could tell, I was the author of that comment.
..
What's remarkable is that, despite the ease of achieving such pranks, few people indulge. The web depends on trust, and most people are worthy of it.

Once upon a time we used to say that about spam emails too - "few people indulge" .

If only more blogs used OpenPGPComment, even in its limited form, we could sign our comments and thus we won't be at the mercy of 'trust'.

Trust, but verify!

Rajesh Jain's "Crucible Experiences"
[Philosophy] @ 10:40 AM

Rajesh Jain has written a great set of posts in his blog titled "Crucible Experiences". Do read Part 1 and Part 2.

These three experiences in their own way shaped part of me. As I went through these experiences, it was very hard to imagine why God was making me go through it. But, as someone once told me, “There is always some good which comes out of every experience. One does not know it then, and it may take a long time to see that good.” At some stage, we will all be grateful for our crucible experiences for it is these that come together to make up Life.
