This is the logo of Orkut group of Nanyang Technological University . I wonder what the hand of the guy on the left is doing!
Microsoft has decided to shut down sites that promote the sharing of Windows XP SP2 package via BitTorrent network. For once, I do agree with their course of action. While Downhill Battle's effort to showcase the use of P2P technology as a good tool (rather than the typical perception of a pirate's tool) is laudable, the software is the property of Microsoft and it is their and only their right to distribute it.
What if tomorrow crookX decides to put up a torrent file of a trojaned version of the software? With no central point to verify the authenticity of the file, it becomes very easy to pass of a trojaned version of the software as legitimate. For those who plan to respond that we could use MD5 checksum to do the verification, my answer is - do you really think a layman would bother about MD5 checksum?
