My first review for Computing Reviews (a collaboration between ACM and reviews.com) had been published. I have reviewed the chapter "Security in wireless mobile and sensor networks" by Das S., Agah A., Basu K. from the book "Wireless communications systems and networks" (Plenum Press 2004). If you have a reviews.com account, you can read the review here.
I am currently reviewing the book "Networks of Innovation: Change and Meaning in the Age of the Internet" by Ilkka Tuomi.
Back from a 3 week visit to India, which was, to put it mildly, hectic. Visiting relatives, eating (or trying to eat) various delicacies laid out for us, visitng temples, backwaters and in between all this, squeezing time to spend with our parents. Almost every day involved visiting atleast two relatives and on one day we visited 12 houses!
In between all the fun, there was however a sore event. Surya had gifted me a Nikon D70 when I reached India and oh boy, was I thrilled. However, the joy was short-lived, as we were involved in a small accident near a pool of water. Luckly we escaped without any serious injury, but the camera dipped into the water and water went into its parts. Right now we have sent it to the service centre in Madras and are waiting for a word from them on whether it can be rescued or not. I really hope they can repair it, for within the short period of time I had my hands on it, I had fallen in love with the camera.
