I am not a fan of anime genre and has so far avoided that kind of movies. However the constant high praise lavished upon Ghost in the Shell caught my attention and finally last week I got the DVD and watched it. "Impressive" would be an understatement.
The animations were awesome and given the fact that it was made in 1995, ahead of its time. Surprisingly for a short movie, it actually is able to convey the philosophy that Matrix series of movie tries but fails to explain. If you like sci-fi movies, like books like Neuromancer etc., don't miss this movie.

If you think Memento was confusing, wait till you see Mulholland Drive! The following quote echoes my thoughts after watching the movie:

After reading a couple of reviews and analysis of the movie, I came across the analysis at Salon and after reading it, a small flicker of light has come on. Can't wait to see the movie again and enjoy it, without having to constantly try to understand the storyline.
Rating - after I view it again!
