FC4 on HP/Compaq nc6120

[Update] Dumped FC4 in favor of Ubuntu since Ubuntu on nc6120 has unofficial HP support. I just could not get suspend to RAM working in FC4 and it worked like a charm in Ubuntu. The xsupplicant is not working fully right now, but it is almost there. Haven't had to patch anything up so far!
Some notes on installing FC4 on my new nc6120 laptop.
- Video - status: working at 1024x768, depth 24. The chipset is Intel 915GM/GMS. Updated to the latest xorg and chose "Intel 915" as "Video Card" and "LCD Panel 1024x768" as "Monitor Type". I just can't seem to get a higher resolution most probably due to the LCD limitation. Will try later, anyway 1024x786 is not too bad.
- Wireless card - status: working. Chipset is Intel Pro/Wirelss 2200BG. Installed both the drivers and firmwares found at ipw2200 project page. Check out this page if you upgraded the kernel to 2.6.12 as you will need to patch the driver. To get the wireless to work with the VU network that uses EAP-TTLS, I had to work more. Downloaded and installed xsupplicant and used the following config file:
I put that file in /etx/1x/1x.conf and the root.pem file for the VU network in /etc/1x/root.pem. The following script helped me automate the auth and login process:
Change eth1 to the interface you need. - Soundcard - status: working. Worked from the vanilla install without any problem.
I will update this as and when I encounter problems or get something working..
